The Wellington Gold Awards, established in 1999, have become a prestigious event that showcases the best of Wellington’s business talent. The awards aim to recognise excellence in 8 categories, including Creative Gold (film, media & creative content), Innovation Gold (recent R&D projects), Emerging Gold Products (small businesses, 10 or fewer staff), Emerging Gold Services (small businesses, 10 or fewer staff), Global Gold (exporters), Supporting Gold (infrastructure & services), Technology Gold (digital creators), Vibrant Gold (events, hospitality & tourism facilities). These categories reflect the diverse and dynamic nature of Wellington’s business landscape. In addition to these categories, there are 3 best practice awards – ACC Workplace Safety Gold (workplace safety), Green Gold (sustainability practices & products), Team Gold (HR & wellness programmes).

Important Dates: The applications are open from March 1 to April 26th. The finalists will be announced on June 7th. Between June 10th and June 28th, the finalists in various categories will be given an opportunity to provide more information. The winners will be announced on the 23rd of July at the Embassy Theatre, Kent Terrace, Wellington. The important point to note is that the entry is free for all participants.
