As we get back in the groove of work, this is a great time to get your marketing into shape for the new year. We’ve been in business since 2001 and every year we see February as the best time to complete these five marketing tasks.
-
Clean your Database
Your first marketing tasks is to make sure your database is up to date. For us, this has meant reconciling our CRM (Act!) and our email list (MailChimp). Keeping your CRM up to date with client’s details will pay off throughout the year. It’s easier to keep your clients engaged when you have the correct email address!
-
Add Some Web Content
Google loooves new website content. So, take a look at your website. Can you think of any new pages you need? Have you covered all your current products and services? If you’re stuck for inspiration you can check your competitors’ websites for ideas. We often create blog posts or Case Studies for our clients, as these can be added regularly throughout the year to keep your Google ranking consistently high.
-
Refresh your Look
How old is your branding? Are you using the same colours consistently? Does your website look tired and out of date? If the beginning of the year is quiet for you, it’s the perfect time to refresh your brand. When working with our clients we look at branding from a strategic level and then we often partner up with LimeRed Design to deliver the finished product. LimeRed Design documented their own rebranding process which they have featured on their own blog.
